This is the 40h - 254 Austin Taxi I got in a collection from a restorer in Edmonton. I just replaced the tires. I don't think I will repaint it. 

Below is a yellow one I got from the same chap. It is odd in that it has the number 40H on a brown base plate. It needed the step fixed which was quite tricky, and a paint job. For the step I made a mold of the step on the intact black one, then used epoxy wood putty to make a copy of the step. I then glued it back into place, filled the cracks, and painted it. I also replaced the window post while I was at it. I think it turned out great considering I had no idea what I was doing!
